The song contest sounds like a nice idea, but I cannot get a picture of what criteria will be used to judge the songs.
Do forum members have a say in the criteria for winners?
The recording process?
Voting by listeners on which they like best?
Will all songs entered be in finals or will the list be “slimmed” by a panel and then turned to all to vote?

It’s my understanding - now that’s hilarious in itself - It will be forum member voting via Forum polls. The only question left unresolved in my mind is whether it will be one vote per member or unlimited. I believe the Forum polls are set up one vote per member.
Initially I wanted some relationship to SoundClick plays and chart action but I now believe that is not trustworthy.
We could set up delegates and super delegates and hold a convention in Rome.
My question(s) concerning the subject are thus;
1. Are we judging the quality of the recording? (Mix balance, EQ, “Mastering” etc…)
2. The musicianship of the performer(s)?
3. Clever use of DAW features?
4. Subjective “quality” of the song writing?
5. Or do we pick a favorite song just “because”?
I’m not trying to be difficult but unless given some guidelines… I’m going with option 5.
