When where and why?
Anyone seen a button for this or know of a way to engage such markers other than the typical way of adding a marker? This is a new feature in build 2472.

See my post on Feature request for Flavio.

If you have to replace a take, say a clone imported, you can now snap it in place instead of edging into the exact spot. Great feature.

START STOP and LOOP - Rightclick in the ruler at the top of the timeline add START marker...
This feature has alway been there (at least since 2459). I don't have 2472 on, but I think what Paco is talking about is something different. If I'm hearing him correctly, he means - (a) selecting a part or take (b) placing the cursor on the time line (probably while expanded to get the precise time/beat) and snapping that part to the cursor location. This reduces the frustration factor of say taking a part that is outside of the expanded range and dragging/redragging. I think.

My Feature was just added in the v2473 version, I think I was just a little confused..all better now.

Great Pac, I initially thought that it was for setting the start and stop points of a song.
My bad not yours!
Hopeing to use someting like that one time instead of adding 0:00.24 to 3:45.04 every time you mixdown.
I might mixdown a song 10 times before I’m satisfied.
But this new feature is also very good!

nTrack! Yeah Flavio great work!
I really like the way you have the cursor jumping back to the click spot. Awsome!
this is messy - to insert a track to the timeline position - click in TIME om the transport toolbar - copy the text box that opens - go to insert track and paste the timeline position where it says track offset then select track -

This is messier!

Why use the terminology "offset" if one wishes to set it exactly?
Just slightly curious.

I did try your method and yes it works fine and applies to inserting files only, difference is, no copy and paste and you can move existing files within the editor without having to "Edge" them into place, something your method won't do. Therefore, I don't agree it's messy, but I do agree you have a better handle on N-Track than most folks, including me. Thanks for sharing your method.
