OT: I’ve just spent two days (business) with a fellow country man of yours today and yesterday… Ontario. Some distance from you I think, but we don’t get too many Canadians around these parts.[QUOTE]
I hope you told him which way was “UP”… Some of these Upper Canadians are pretty thick, between the ears…
If ya mail him… don’t tell him I told ya that… I played in Lindsy, Ontario… That’s in-and-around, Peterborough… Well, a little north-west of there… CIL, ran a big Chemical Plant there… years ago…

I noticed a little bit of “pitch wobble” on Len’s closing note on the steel. Did he do that, or is that some tape wow? Some of the younger folks here won’t know what that means! |
I used to notice Leonard “Hanging” onto notes that he would “close” with on a song… I’ll try to describe it this way…
A fiddle player will sustain a “Held” note by creating a vibrato effect with the note he “Fretts”… in case he didn’t frett the note “On Pitch” to start with…
Leonard would “Roll” the fretted note with the Steel Bar by rolling the bar on the “Fretted Note”… in the same manner…
If Leonard were only here to “Set-Me-Straight”…
