Video sound and dubbing job coming up
This is scary guys,
I have some work coming up doing recording and dubbing for a video. I figure I need to slave N to either SMPTE (preferred) or MTC (may be OK).
The idea is that I need to have video and sound playing, either on another computer or on the same one I have N on, and be able to record one or two tracks in sync with A/V playback.
I also would like to be able to track audio in sync with the DV camera while it is taping if possible, though I can probably sync stuff up after the fact.
Any help WRT synching to another computer or a DV camera playing video or synching to a video playback application (any suggestions wrt software?) on the same computer with N would be a great help.
My current system is:
AMD 2600+ barton
768 MB 333 SDRAM
200 GB 7200 RPM IDE data drive
7200 RPM IDE system drive
M-Audio Audiophile 24/96
Windows 98 SE for a while at least but I may have to spring for XP sooner or later.
I just downloaded build 1811 and will be installing it soon.
Let me know if you think I am crazy to be doing this too.
