The Other Guy

This new original is a rather humorous look at a clueless guy… I’m working on lining the vocals out, still, thinking about trying the cheat that emulates the Eventide Harmonizer (i.e., cloning the track and pitch-shifting each clone and slight delay on full wet)

THE OTHER GUY

My girl don’t love me anymore
and she don’t kiss me, like before
but when I asked her why
is there another guy?
She laughed, and told me I’m the other guy…

I used to wonder why she never came home at night
I started thinking that something wasn’t right
Thought it was strange, at the time
Her wedding finger had a little line
But when I asked her, she said it’s just my eyes…
I start to wonder about her family
Does she have kids, a dog, and a christmas tree?
She told me once, about her old man
He’s big and fat, with a spray-on tan
But when he was young, she said he looked like me…

MY GOD! I’M THE OTHER GUY!
The one she keeps on the side
MY GOD! I don’t know what to do
It’s just like when I was with you…

(Guitar Solo)

MY GOD! I’M THE OTHER GUY!
The one she keeps on the side
MY GOD! I don’t know what to do
It’s just like when I was with you…
My god, will I never learn?
How many others has she burned?
MY GOD! It’s happening, again
Don’t wanna think where her mouth has been…
