Google asked to reveal searches

The US Government is taking legal action to gain access to Google’s database of website searches in a dispute over internet privacy.

The Bush Administration has asked a federal judge to order Google to hand over the records of all searches for any one-week period, as well as other closely guarded data.

Other search engines are said to have agreed to the request, but Google is fighting the move.

Ve haff control!

Next, all Juden will be required to wear a Star of David on their clothing.

Homosexuals, liberals, socialists, negros, spics micks and wops, and not forgetting all the rest of you commie subversive fags, will be put into re-education camps for your own good; enjoy the “showers”, they’re free.

Seig Heil!!!

:(

You missed one in your list: feminists. They really luuuuve the feminists.

I find it utterly discouraging that there is almost no public outcry against what they are doing. Only way I can figure it, too few people understand the magnitude of it all. Bush ought to be impeached and outta here quicker than you can say “no warrant.” Where the #### are the democrats?

Unbelievable.

I’m proud to say that the ACLU has filed suit agasint them right here in my own little state, however.

Apparently they’re doing this under the guise of the child-protection act(?) and are looking for porn searches… I think I might be in trouble here…
???

Not that I would ever harm a child, but I do have this addiction to naked legal-age females…
:p

Bottoms Up…

Bottoms Up.........

I thought *I* had a one-track mind.
:D

The feds will coming pound on doors shouting “WE KNOW ABOUT THE ANAL MIDGETS, NOW OPEN UP!”

Maybe they are trying to find out why ‘God’ is sending so many hurricanes our way. ??? :;):

Back in 70’s we eventually got rid of another bad one…you just have to believe in karma.

Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

Yup, it’s all to do with the labelling. You can sell anything if you label it right.

Heh, yeah, you should have seen the failed product names… Operation Kick in the Nuts didn’t have the right ring to it.

We’re not gonna do the “Preparation A through G” thang again… are we? :D

D – spy on ME Dub! I ain’t got nothing to hide… that I know of…

<~~~ nothing to hide either, (well, nothing awfully significant :D), but I still object to G W Bush and all his minions staring up my arse every time I take a dump!

“I have nothing to hide so it’s no concern to me” - many people respond to the invasion of privacy that way. Here’s why that’s the wrong way to think about it.

First, who wants access to info about you? Two groups mostly - business and government.

Business wants it so they can sell more effectively, but also so that they can use taste control techniques to help fit your tastes to the product (rather than the other way around). If you’re OK with that, well, OK, but a society full of people whose tastes are determined by corporate interests produces an ignorant masss of easily manipulated people.

Government wants it so they can prevent undesirable behavior and punish those who engage in it. Note that the word “undesirable” sometimes means “crime” but historically has meant “people who disagree with the government.” You know, Stalin, Hitler, that ilk. If you think it can’t happen here, you are wrong. Democracy is fragile - that’s what history teaches us - and a free, independent, active, and informed citizenry is the sine qua non of effective democracy. If you value your freedom, or your children’s freedom, you had better take a strong stand against what Bush and his cronies have been doing. Forget the Iraq war, forget stupid fiscal policies, and look at what could easily be the most significant constitutional crisis in the history of the USA. You think that’s an exageration? Look again. This is an unprecedented level of arrogance.

Tsk tsk -two g's in exaggeration, please. Dang intellectuals... Other than that I'm with you all the way :)

Sheesh. SARCASM, CYNICISM come on fellers…

D

What is most scary is knowing what is going on and, realistically, not being able to ANYTHING…just what is ONE PERSON going to do…there is no uniting, power to the people, crowd rule…
all you can really do is tell others what is going down and they will say, “yup”…end of story…and you will say, "oh well"

sort of sucks but that what is…
was that way back in 69 and …well,

i’m not coming to this section anymore…bye all

Yeah, my speling is atroshious. Alwasy has been, too. Cleaning out my mother’s storage we found a bunch of grade reports from elementary and middle school, and I consistently received bad grades (really bad grades) in spelling. Funny thing was, in 9th grade I was second in the school in a spelling contest. What does that say of my fellow students? :D

Diogenes, I know, sarcasm, but the whole thing just has me SO PISSED OFF. Where the #### are the dems anyway?

Apparently asleep OR playing along… we’ll never know. I don’t buy into Soul-mans “The Dems can’t do anything because they are not in power!” crap. This place is still a democracy, they have a voice. They either don’t give a shit or are just gutless SOB’s or both.

"Hey wazzup? Oh man… I can’t speak out against that. It would be political suicide! I have my mansions and vacation homes to think of!"
