where is the help for nefx effects?
i recently installed n-track 7 on a new windows 8.1 computer.
i see there are now a new set of nefx effects.
i have two questions:
1.
what are these effects, and how do they relate to the older set of n-track effects?
2.
when i click on the help button, i don’t get any help for the nefx
effect.
so how do if find out things like the meanings of the various controls, etc.

the nEfx effects are alternate ‘editions’ of the classic n-Track DirectX effects (Echo, Tremolo, Reverb, Compressor, Pitch Shift, Chorus) plus two new ones, Tube Amplifier and Phaser, which are not otherwise available as DirectX.
The main reason the ‘duplicate’ nEfx plugins exist is that they are guaranteed to be available on all platforms in which n-Track runs, i.e. Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. If you use only nEfx plugins your project will load and sound exactly the same on all platforms. If you use other effects they might be missing on some platforms so you may need to find alternative ones (for example using 3rd party apps via Inter-app audio on iOS).
No help is currently available for nEfx effects, we’re working on it for the next version of n-Track.
