Volume problem

I just recently installed N-Track Studio. And whenever I open it the volume on my computer is lowered. I can hardly hear any of the music I import or record on N-Track and if I attempt to listen to a sound file with Windows Media Player, Real, or any program whilst N-Track is open I cannot hear it. But as soon as I close N-Track the sound volume on my computer returns to normal.
I am using Windows XP and ALS4000 sound card.
What can be done to fix this problem?

I think your issue might be found in adjusting your sound card in

Start>Settings>Control Pannel>Then to sound devices. Put a check mark in Put the volumn control on the desktop/taskbar… Then open the mixer and adjust the volumn of the wave file fader to the level that is just below the top position of the fader adjustment… As well, adjust the fader in the “Properties” window to the second notch below the top movment of the that fader… as well…

This might just cure the issue, you have… It’s worth checking this out… Mabey…
