I thought 6 would be out by now? What the heck is going on?

The contest will run from May 1st to the end of August, and prizes for winners will include three full versions of n-Track Studio and 3 free upgrades to version 6.x (which should be released before the contest is over).

No rush on my part. Since I’ve been a long time Magix guy, I recently got the upgrade to Music Studio 14. It is a most impressive product. MIDI (including SCORE!!) is now built-in along with some nice audio improvements. It uses the Samplitude 32 bit FP audio engine whereas the newer, full-blown Samplitude uses 64 bit but MS14 still sounds pretty freakin’ good. I’m not sure what it costs retail but if you need score notation/printing and such it might be worth your while to have a look. I have it to play with until n V6 hits the web… I wonder if Flavio is adding any new MIDI functionality?

The first beta of version 6.0 should be released within a couple of weeks, probably within june.
