Who Likes the Rain?

Not a question, that’s the song title…

Fellow musicians,

I suppose this tune is sort of Misfits/Counting Crowes/System Of A Down all mushed together (that sounds pretentious doesn’t it? - not what I meant) . This is mix 1, I think it’s ok, but there’s nothing like a set of ears you don’t know to unleash the unabashed truth!

Thanks for reading this.

It’s entitled 'Who Likes the Rain’

Nice transitions - very well played and recorded. My only comment sound wise is the snare being compressed as it is, began to effect how I listened - after a bit all I heard was snare and it got to be a distraction.

Now you must remember I’m a country writer so nothing I say counts. wash awaaay your pain… nice acoustic guitar sound and ending… well done!

That’s great. It’s like two songs in one. :agree:

Hey guys,

Poppa - you were bang on about the snare drum - how the heck did I miss that??
TomS - yeah, I suppose it is like 2 songs…

Thanks guys.

Dan

Uhhh - you're the DRUMMER?

Just my guess...........

Yes, I’m the drummer - on fun time-killer tunes like this one I play all the parts, but I have pals who are real guitar/bass players for other musical stuff.

Did you upload it with a new snare mix?

Hi Tom, yes I did upload it with a new snare mix - I’m not sure I like the snare sound though…

Wow…
was that recorded on N???????

Absolutely fantastic. Really really really good. Well done.

On a different note…The picture on the website…I can’t believe you got Rod Stewart to join the band… :p

Ha ha ha - good one. Usually it’s Wayne Gretzky.
Yes, the song was recorded completely using NTrack 2.2. Thanks spreadercraig.

Holy crap, I like this!

I don’t know jack about Misfits/Counting Crowes/System Of A Down. To me it sounds like Rik Emmett and Cameron Hawkins got together. (The ending really reminds me of Journey off of Black Noise, if that means anything to you).

Really good recording and song.
