work in progress

i can hear a trace atkins-style vocal over this track.

i’m all about unusual. (some of us don’t have a choice).

i like it, poppa!
have you tried a dobro in place of the steel? or possibly trading 4s with the harp? i simply love the dobro, i guess, but it would fit the tune nicely. background, of course.

I’ll peek at it Don. Didn’t care for it on the last tune I tried it on, but this is different.
Right now everything is up and sounds like one long harmonica solo. When I add my vocal and clean electric I’ll get it mixed better.
I’ll go fire up the dobro and listen.

I spent the day tweeking this - raised the key up a notch and got the verse measures right and added a bridge section and wrote half the lyric. I may need professional help on the lyric though. Not sure I can write as good as need be on this. I'll explain later..... very unusual idea. Don't think it's been written before. Anyway here's the revised track.

Very nice PW. Can't wait to hear the rest. :agree:

D

I should have a good non-distract day tomorrow for writing. :agree:

This is gonna be a good’en. :agree:

The whole thing screams out country and the guitar is beautiful, The harmonica is perfectly fitting, it reminds me of Brad Paisley’s ‘Waiting on a woman’ (one of my favourite ever songs beautiful)
