Are we in it or not?

I listened to old Newt make his case about why were are in WW III (in the Middle East). While he makes some valid points, as he always does, I think he’s pretty far off based. I also get the feeling he’s trying to politize the issue to help boolster his consideration for running for President in 2008.

It seems to me that we are not in WW III. Sure we need to fight terrorists, and that some states supports terrorims, but to compare this “fight” with WW I and WW II is wrong.

Any thoughts?
