You want 10 bucks from Tom S ????

Times are tough over there in Flint..
You might have better luck if you get him to send you a chrome bumper from a '49 Straight 8 Buick..

I had a think about this one, thing is ... I'm soon to be 'Angela Swan' do I change my name before I sign?

I have very good SEO already that I would loose if I do. If I keep 'Ange Hardy' than I'll just have to accept that people will call me 'Angie'. I only hate that name because I used to get teased in school for being like 'toadies mum in neighbours... Angie' it wasn't that far from the truth... 'I'm the one that looks like Angie!'

so anyhooo... do I change the name or not?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! ???

Ange x

change it to tina turner, then you’ll get compliments on your legs constantly!

Anj Ardy

No no no nononononno - I GET THE 10 DOLLARS CUZ I WON THE BET! :)

And you ain't gettin nun o my buick. Of course, it is still in pieces in the garage...

Shania Swan has a nice ‘stage ready’ ring to it though… Bill may be onto something there…

D

Anj Twang? naw…

she could be a one-name diva, like beyonce, mariah, twanj?

“Ange Hardy”
is as catchy a name as you need…

BoY…
The names they come up with…
Does anyone know Gene Autry’s real name ????

Anyway, I believe it was Leonard Sly…
Check…
someone…
?

Then…
there’s George Canyon…
I forget… his real name… His home is from over in Pictou County…
anyway…
we were playing a stadium here in Halifax back in late spring '65
'66
and Sing Along Jubilee had run it’s course on the CBC…
Anne Murray was outta work and hoping to find what’s she’s doing now… (A Multi-Millionaire)
She used to play concerts in her Bare Feet back then…

Them old rinks were pretty cold after the ice was taken out…
Wouldn’t you believe it. ????
She came out on the stage after she was introduced as “Aunt Murray”
:)
:;):
We were all kids back then…
Aunt Murray is my age…
:p

Anyway, I looked down at her feet…
They Were BlUE… from the cold floor…

Bill…

Pretty close Bill.

Gene Autry == Orvon Gene Autry
Roy Rogers == Leonard Sly

Ange’s name is perfect. It’s a matter of making sure everyone pronounces is correctly. (one reason I suggested the ‘almost’ phonetic spelling – really wouldn’t suggest that – anyway the missing H isn’t a universal thing and my be lower class in some areas – definilty not typical real Ange)

Hi phoo:

You are correct…
I rattled that off as an example…

BUT…
I still had it wrong…
:)
:p
The guy I work with every day… (He’s as sharp as a tack)… It’s rare that he forgets names…
Good atribute to have… We pass the time by connecting stage names with real names…
Entertainers that don’t have “Catchy names” don’t get talked about…
“Good-or-Bad”…

Does anyone remember Marrilyn Monroe ????
What was her real name?

Bill…

Who could forget MM? People didn’t notice what an amazingly talented actress she was.

Wikipedia:

Norma Jeane Mortenson, but baptized Norma Jeane Baker.

O.K.

Stevie Wonder.
???? By-the-way…
I got a DVD of Stevie doing a concert in the UK.
I think the year was 2008…
This is a beautiful Stage presentation…
and technically spectacular… His daughter was on the stage (as one of the Back-up singers) and she came out front to do a
song…

He plays one of those harps with the pitch leaver on the side ????
You know.
????
Chromatic Harps…
Yea…
GrEaT…

It was recorded in 5.1…
However, I don’t have any 5.1 around here…
The video-lighting-and-audio is without errors… I think he had three drummers on the stage… The bass player…
exceptional…

Anyway…
What is Stevie Wonder’s name ????
No Peeking…
now…
:p

Bill…

I updated the photo blog this morning.
and did a cleanup…
There is much cutting-and-fitting to the bass bin construction…
All of this effort is to use up the unused cedar boards that went into the studio wall construction…

Anyway, the last series of photos will show the bass bin profile as to the bin construction…
I have three more of these panels to complete…
then some regular rectangular/square panels to complete the construction of the Bin Shells…
Then the front-facing speaker baffles,(that will fit into the shells) to complete the cabinet design/construction…

All this is proceeding more slowly than I had anticipated…

I’ve been playing with the idea of how to mount/fasten these cabinets to the floor/walls/room…
I’m hoping that they don’t resonate the building/walls, and all…
I just want them to “Move Air”
:)

If they happen to resonate the building,
(that will be a NO-NO) :(

that isn’t their intended use…

Bill…

EDIT

Wrong Thread… Sorry everyone…

Quote:

The bass player.. exceptional..

stevie is accustomed to cycling through different musicians for different projects, with the exception of his bassist, whom i believe is called nathan watts, if memory serves. been with stevie for a long time. and he is the grooovin-ist, funk-ist, slammmin-ist, soulful-ist, jammin'-ist bassist around and has been for years. i LUV his playing, and i LUV stevie's stuff. i finally learned the bass line for 'sir duke' and all i could think was 'how did he come up with this stuff?'

i think i saw that concert as well, if it's the same one they played here in the states on tv.

Stevie Wonder’s original name was “Little Stevie Wonder,” if I remember correctly.

I’m gonna wonder through the credits and see if I can recognize any of the names and all, including the people behind the mics, lighting and cameras, and all…

It seemes to me that the bass player is the musicial director…
OR …
The Big Guy…

Gents…
What a production…
In My Opinion…
Of Course…

The audience was just as important as the stage was in the capture of the event…

That stage was without flaws…

Am I wrong ????
Stevie Wonder or Little Stevie Wonder was the handle the Mo-Town Organization gave him…
I’m thinking…
His Real ReAl…
name…
I heard it… BUT…
It went in one ear and out the other…
:p
:)
Ii
KkNnOoWw…
hehehe…
Little Stevie Wonder ain’t so little anymore…
AND…
He’s 60+ years now, as well…
Where has the time gone…
anyone
?????

That concert is up there on the Internet, somewhere, and available for download…
The guy I know is a Stevie Wonder freak…
He said it was on a slow server.
It took him a week to download the file…
If I remember, I think the properties says it some 4.6 gigs…
