7.0.3 Build 3119

Anybody else having a problem like this?

Build 3119 is causing a problem with my tool bars. To be more specific, it doubles up on the top tool bar and the 2nd row looks almost like the first, nor do I have my “punch in/out” buttons. Also, when it loaded up after updating, it changed the file name of the song I was working on twice: the first time it just changed it to “New Song”, and then the second time it changed it to some weird unrelated name that had to do with a plugin setting. I have a picture of what it looks like, but I’m not sure how to load it up on the page. I don’t have a URL for it, and entering “Code” for it would require me having a URL for it. Not sue what any of these other radio options are since they don’t give a clue when you hover over them. Can anyone help?

I went back to the tool bars and customized the 2nd row, so I’m not that lazy. But now I find that the “Punch In/Out” options are no longer part of the tool bar selections, and when I click on them in the “Transport” drop down menu, they open up this huge gaping area under the Transport controls and above the tracks. Why this change? Was this done for MAC users? I liked it the way it was. I was prompted by the program to update my version, so I did; now I’m regretting it. I’m not angry, or anything, I just don’t understand why things that were perfect the way they were are being changed for the worse. Can you put them back? Please?

lcmemusic,

please try right clicking on the n-Track toolbar and selecting the “Reset toolbar” command. This should reset the toolbars to their default state.
The punch-in controls are no longer on a toolbar, they are located in a regular window that can opened with the Transport -> “Punchin controls” command. If the default position leaves a large empty area on your screen you can easily drag the window below some other vertical window so that it doesn’t occupy unneeded space. For example you can place the recording and playback vumeters on the right side and the punchin toolbar below them. Or if you have a wide monitor you should be able to dock the punch-in window to the right of the lower transport toolbar. We changed this mainly to make the punch-in controls more visible to novice users, which rarely found them in the toolbars menus.

Flavio.

I too am having problems regarding sound. I am using 7.0.3 3119 however I am honestly unable to say whether it is a problem with this particular build because I have had the problem intermittently. Am on Windows 7 Ultimate (32 bit) and am using 5.1 speakers. I get sound from all other apps e.g. Audacity, Windows Media Player etc however I get no sound from n-Track Studio. I am in the middle of composing a song and it is freaking me out. The playback VU meter shows activity (monitor is ON) however there is absolutely no sound whatsoever. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Please start a new topic as your issues are unrelated other than build number. Please provide in your new thread more information about your specific system and the devices you are using. This will help in diagnosis of your troubles.

Thanks

Imagine that the title of your post gave some indication of the actual problem. Then, people wouldn’t have to OPEN your post to know if they’ve run into that problem and, more importantly to EVERYBODY, solved it.
