A new day in Tehran

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/31487518/ns/world_news-mideastn_africa/

I’m a huge believer in separation of church and state! We see what happens when religious rule.
I would not want a nation under Baptist doctrine rule or Church of Christ doctrine rule or Mormon rule… you name it. The new rule in Iran, if any, will more than likely still be Shiite and for people in this country or in all the “free world” to think just because the people are revolting (as in revolution) that it will mean change…? I just don’t see it hapnin’…

Religious rule will only work in one system of government. A Kingdom. And that not of this earth.

That’s my condensed, toned-down, earbud mix version.

It is taught in my favorite "religious" text that man (religious or otherwise) does NOT have the ability to govern himself! At the root of it all is the fact that we are ALL weak, fallible humans. So you preach on Rev Willis...

Allis Cokemaniac or whatever his name is, needs to put the will of the people before his "interpretation" of Islam. Personally, I think many Muslim's are sick of their "religion" being perverted by a$$holes. I know plenty of my own "religion" that make me wanna hurl... so I can feel their pain.

D

What makes it a lot diffrent now is the fact that it’s 2009.
And the Iranian students and many Iranians have experienced freedom on the internet.
Along with knowledge and insight about other students and their cultures and freedoms.
I’ve heard some of the young interviewed saying that they want this.
They want personal freedoms like we have in the west.
And they are tired of what they’ve had.

To think of them going up against armed Malissia while unarmed.
They are amazing!
I hate to say this is the reason why we need to keep our pistolas.

It would be fantastic if somehow someone could hook the net back up for them.

They need to toss the Supreme leader, the Council, and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. It has to be total replacement of the theocracy, with a democracy, or else they might as well not bother. Only if the revolutionary Guard supports the people will they be successful. Hey, what’s a revolutionary Guard for anyway.

Yes they have a lot to overcome. We look at this as if to see it all change in one day. But ya know it will be a progression of changes some big some small and some monumental. But change has started for them.

The prez just landed a big verbal round house on Iran! Well said, the guy’s got style!

Well you know I never claimed to be a big Obammer fan... but I applaud his handling of the situation thus far. Too many Repubs running around thinking they can get brownie points by rattling the "USA Saber". We need to keep our noses OUT IMO. Condemn the violence but just cautiously observe for now.

Good job Barry.

Yea the present gov in Iran would love to have the people demonstrating, to question whether they are being manipulated by the US.
Obama is being wise buy keeping out to a degree, in order for Iran’s problems to surface on their own for all to see.

We gotta start keeping our nose on our own face, people.

I disagree. This is the one time we should jump to help with military support and end this rogue terrorist outpost for good. Plus help with setting up political system free from the religous zealot despots. Good for them. Good for us. Win win.

So imagine this happening 10 months ago, think there would have been some shock and awwwww? Probably not.
Mousavi has called for a peaceful demonstration to take place tomarrow.
It's true if anyone needed an excuse to rid the world of triants like these,
here is a great excuse. The I'aa'toll'laaa's (<---Pho'net'ick'ism) and the Supreme ruler, the Gov of Irain, better watch them selves.
I'm sure that Isrial would love to send them a care package or two.
I think Isrial's neighbors better consider the over all effects and keep an eye on Irain too, considering they live relatively close.

I just heard a student call into CNN in a frantic voice describing vialent actions happening now by the security forces on padestrains. Brutal beatings, shootings, throwing people off a bridge. Sounds like they have stepped to far. She cried for CNN to stop this. Sad stuff.

Now NKorea is threatening to wips us off the map lol

LOL

I keep thinking of the riots in LA in the 90s. Where you had clusters of rioters.
I’m thinking that if the vote count was off that much, there would be countless people in demonstrations though out the county. So maybe it is the minority at this point. Of course the actions of the security forces could make the minority the majority pretty fast if they keep on beating people. (beating innocent women and bystanders) Iranians seeing this, with any conscious at all, should step forward, if the protesters are not hooligans like they suggest. We’ll learn a lot tomorrow.

And while we’re at it, we might as well straiten out Microsoft and .NET…Up dating is like trying to screw in a 1999 floppy disk into a small bulb socket. It makes no sense and doesn’t work after a solid week of trying; every fix on the net.

Oh boy…

Obama is acting like Bush

This Goobsmoochiebaad feller needs a shot of lead in his ear… What a mook…
