A tip for good strat tone

Tip’s n tricks

I use a lot of thrift store odds and ends and basically build my own cabinets and amps. I was recording a guitar track with an sm57 on a cabinet with 2 12 inch speakers and decided just for snix and grins to add a 5 inch speaker box that I made for the bullhorn effect (on vocals etc.) I multed the two tracks together and was pleasantly suprised at how the stratocaster sounded.

You can’t knock that sound, nice! Cool song and solid arrangement. :agree:

Yes, cool strat sound, and good song.
I really like the chorus section.
To tie into another thread about the U2’s Edge, 9and maybe I am misunderstanding what you did), but have you ever tried to run guitar thru stereo spinorams?
Maybe same feEd at different speeds, maybe different feeds and so on?
Recording might be interesting, but live could result in some insane stuff, once you tune everyting to the room.

Yea - I was gonna say a delayed spin on two units would be the bomb! Delay the switching for one to follow the other up or down in speed… huh? Would love to hear that.

I've thought about that but I make one and sell it then make another... (you know the pattern)
