I checked out the behringer V-amp 2, a lot of the user reviews where good and it’s definitely in my price range, I’ll probably try one if I can at my local music store. The Sans amp looks pretty interesting too. 
I’ m with Phoo on this one. I think for about $200 you can get GuitarPort, with an online subscription of about $10 a month and receive a whole plethora ( and thats a lot ) of dead-on tones.
