Here are a couple of silly things, done with the Green Machine II free amp sim, just trying to see if I can get these things to sound halfway OK. download the FLAC if you can, the mp3 sounds a whole lot worse than the FLAC. Their converter is bad or something.
First:

The second song is called āI Want To Write A Song for Death By Guitar,ā and Tina better listen to it. Uhā¦itās not serious, as you will notice I played the āsolosā in one take and left in every clam I possibly could.

That was outstanding Tom, Iām sure Tina and her āmatesā will love it
youāve got talent.
Them are hot licks, on that second song, TomS:
I can smell the smoke commin off your fretboard from hereā¦
I think he should check to see if the calises aināt burnt off his fingersā¦
Billā¦
Oooooh hot fingers Tom!
your the darkest horse on this forum & i never really know what to read into anything you write here or in song, so iāll take it on a purely complimentary leval that you wrote a song about us & we are chuffed
i thought the guita r sound was the best of the amp sim songs youve done & on I was happy on the shelf they sounded pretty close to your you r normal guitar tone
Tina
You people are really nice to overlook all of the clams.
Not exactly Hugh Flandersjass level.
Yes, Tina, it was purely a compliment.
I just like to write and record really quickly, and one never knows what will come out.
Want me to post some of the really bad chamber music Iāve done?
Thanks for the listens!!!
lol - really enjoyed them both Tom - as usual yer the best signature lick writer I know. Who was that dude that used to give ya a hard time 'bout ājanglyā guitars?
I use my line6 PodFarm for sims. Donāt think Iāve plugged a guitar into an amp for 2-3 years now. Even my live playing is direct.
The great thing about using a sim of course is the flexibility to change a dry track to any single or combination of sims you want, so of late Iāve been recording dry while monitoring the tone and effects I like for the tune at hand, then automating changes within the PodFarm. Slight builds in verb, widening or narrowing of chorus etc⦠the tweaks are unlimited. Duping the dry track also gives you the ability to ādoubleā with another completely dif guitar sound⦠I just like the control aspect of it most I reckon.
No doubt, Poppa, and when you do it, somehow it actually sounds really, really good.
Why is that?
Oh, I remember, pro vs. very part time amateur, talent and patience vsā¦well, whatever the opposite of those are, I am too impatient to try to figure it outā¦
Edit: BTW, folks, did you notice this? āas usual yer the best signature lick writer I know.ā You heard it!
Many thanks for the listens and kind words, Poppa.
Ok, Cookie! Where dāyouy get the auto-shread plug?
Great stuff, Tom.

If you practice, it will come....

No, Unknown, it never will, not in my case. I lack the neurology for it. It is astonishing that I can produce any coherent noise at all.
