Android Effects, What IS included?

What IS included in the purchase?

OK, I just re-read the description for the Android app, and see a few people are ticked that there are no effects?

Tho the description DOES say extra add-ons, it does NOT say WHAT is included, and that is worrying. For example, the Android description says…

"• Press play to listen to the multitrack recording, use the mixer to adjust levels, pan, apply EQ etc."

Now from this line I would assume that at least some basic effects, like EQ, Compression, Automation & Reverb are included…are they not? If even EQ is not included that should be spelled out, really. And if these basic 3 are NOT included, then where are the packs & how much?

The way the GP text reads none of this is clear, so maybe that is why a few folks are ticked.

I will hold off on any purchase until I know exactly WHAT is included. It does NOT matter that it is only $5.99 (which by the way says $6.99 in the GP store), it this economy that is a lot for a “luxury item” that does not have a clear list of what you are getting.

Thanks!

Hi Smurf,

the EQ+spectrum analyzer+sonogram are included in the app.
Volumes and pan envelopes/automation are not considered an ‘effect’, and are also included in the app without the in-app purchase.
Only the “8 effects pack” is available via an in-app purchase, specifically the 8 effects are Reverb, Compressor, Echo, Chorus, Phaser, Tube Amp, Tremolo & Pitch Shift.
Hope this clarifies any ambiguity. Please let me know if you have other questions.

Flavio.

Once again a huge Thank You for the quick response & info!!

my question is upgrade related.

I am assuming over the years (and since Android is in development) there are going to be upgrades to the Ntrack app, like the midi capability we discussed in another thread, and third party effects support etc.

I was wondering if there is going to be a lifetime upgrade purchase price for this app?

so that people will not have to keep ponying up over the years as new features are added.

Hi dontcare,

we don’t plan to offer a “lifetime” upgrade, but yes there will be lots of free upgrades. A lot of work goes into adding new features and we wouldn’t be able to sustain the development if we gave all new features and versions away, particularly with iOS or Android app where the app price is a fraction of the price of the desktop version of n-Track ($6.99 vs $49).

that's understandable and reasonable,

I am waiting for some basic functionality with the current version, (we've already discussed my interest in another thread).

having some experience with music and midi apps on portable devices since the 80's I'd love to discuss some of the possibilities perhaps in another thread.

an open discussion on development if that is permissible. :peace:
