Announcing my new web site

I’m working on a new web site - see Mike Cressey. Of course, it’s primarily about music, but I’ve also got some stuff for software engineers, etc. I intend to put more stuff there over time. Please let know if any thing doesn’t work. There are some formatting issues I’m encountering using Frontpage 2003 & I haven’t found fixes for them yet.

For those of you who visited MusicIsLove.com, I lost control over it to the domain snatchers. They now want +$200 to get it back (so they can have it).

Hi Mike:

The same thing happened to me…
with the page I had up there for several years now…

It’s so disappointing to have that happen…
When I applied for the hosting/storage space I checked the BOX approving to renew the hosting and domain profiles by automatically with drawing from my VISA Account the renewal charges…

As-IT-Happened…
at renewal time the VISA Account was debuted but the service was not re-newed…
As a result the Domain name was Hi-Jacked…
by a guy we all know very well over in Arizona…

I don’t think you want to hear me rant anymore about this matter…

I’ll finish by saying that the Internet is Public Domain… I’ve complained about this matter to the ICANN…
but the ICANN is administered by the same bunch of C*******S…

There…
I’ve said it again…

When you post in CYBER…
you can’t take it back…

Sorry to you Mike…
and all who reads this thread…

Bill…

I’m putting together a new web site which is a memorial to my old band, Broken Arrow (Neil Young tribute). There’s a link from www.MikeCressey.com but if you’d like to check it out go here Broken Arrow Band. I’ve got some songs posted there & I’ll be adding a lot of content over time. Also, some pic’s if you’re interested.

Hi Again Mike:

That page is looking pretty good…
I like the C++/OOP page…
if only I could understand what I see…
????

I’d like to construct a VST “Phase Adjustment” type of Plug-in…
At the moment, I don’t have a name for the plug…
If it worked, any audio type of user would know what to do with it…
I think it could be used for editing Impulse Response Samples, as well…

Hey Bill - thanks for checking out the site. If you're not a software developer than you don't need to know this stuff.

Hi Mike:

That’s what I think I’m interested in now…
If I had the necessary knowledge and I could assemble the code it takes to manufacture VST Plug-ins, I’d be on-the-road to creating a series of Plug-ins…
Well…
trying my hand at it anyway…

If I knew how-and-where to start I’d like to take on the challenge and maybe get my feet wet…

Bill…

Well that’s where you need a partner who’s a software engineer! If you’re interested, send me an email & we can talk about it. I’m looking for something new to get into in my spare time.

Hi Mike:

Thanks for the reply on this…
and thanks for showing an interest in this Plug-in Development…
Who knows where this might lead ????
There happens to be another guy up here that might be interested in these ideas I have.

On the other side…
these ideas may have no validity at all to them…
Who knows ????
Anyway, I’d like to be involved with the ideas as not to give away any Intellectual Property…
That is, if there is anything there…

Maybe, as the winter comes on we’ll get it off the back-burner and see what’s there…
This might become a decent collab…
Who knows ????

Bill…

Hey - I’m back as Mr Soul, Mr Soul, Mr Soul!!! Flavio fixed my account!

Hi Mr Soul:

It’s so nice to see you back as Mr. Soul…
AND it’s not that I didn’t recognize you as any one other than Mike…
But when you log on to the Board as Mr. Soul I know that you’ll have the right frame-of-mind to say what Mr. Soul has to say…

I was devastated when I couldn’t log on as woxnerw after the Board was rebuilt, the last time…
My attempt to log on with any ID took me several hours that evening…
Then…
all-of-a-sudden I was able to log on with woxnerw… again…

You know…
It shouldn’t matter all that much…
but…
woxnerw is…
Who I Am…

It’s good to see you back on the Board…
Mr Soul…

Bill…

Thanks Bill!! Mr Soul calls it like he see it

And…

That’s the way it should be…

AND Then there’s many times I’d like to take back things I’ve said…
BUT…
once you’ve said something up here, you can never take it back…

When you’ve wagged the tail of the lion you’d better know why you’ve wagged it…
???
or be able to back-up what you’ve said…

Bill…

HEy Mike :)

I listened to the Flyer song…

It’s sounds nice, would make a good movie soundtrack for a train scene. (or long lonely traveling scene on a subway? it’s got that feel) not that it’s long it’s short and sweet.

I would have liked to hear a chugga chugga sound effect in it, to get that old time feel, and a steam horn would have been nice too at the climax (in the back round from a distance like it’s echoing over a cannon as the train moves closer, chugga chugga getting gradually louder) :D

All ABOARD!

Hey Jerm - long time no hear. Thanks for listening!

I tried to get the “chugga chugga sound” in the drum pattern I used. Actually I hear a stereo recording of a train that I made years ago which I could mix into it. I’ll think about trying that - thanks for the suggestion!

Yeah I don't post that much anymore...

Doesn't mean I'm not reading though! ???

Just learning to guard my tongue let thy words be few and all that jazz....

If I think I have something positive to contribute I will speak. :)
