A new video by yours truly
Hi,
I’ve been unemployed for several months and have been working on recording some old songs.
I just put together a new video which you can watch here Archetype Annie.
I had a lot of fun putting this together - I hope that you like it!
The other thing I’ve been up to is building a new DAW. My old one was 6 years old (PIV 3.0 GHZ/SATA I drives), and was getting a little slow for rendering videos, doing heavily audio, etc. So I bit the bullet and put together a Core i7 930 with a new SATA III (6GB/s) drive, USB 3.0 ports, 4 MB of RAM and Windows 7! It’s smokes! A video that used to take over 5 minutes to render will render in 1 min and 20 sec. Audio is also very fast. I am having a few problems with some old programs (like Sound Forge) but I can’t wait to try 64-bit Reaper (I know - I hate to say it here but it’s true).

This is tough times we are operating in…
However, I hope things will get better…
We all need to have something to do…

The video is obvious about hippie’s in the 60’s. I cannot say that I was actually a “hippie” myself but I admired some of them and leaned that way (although I also saw flaws in the hippie lifestyle). Anyways, this video was a way to quell my nostalgia

I was out playing the bars back then…
It started in and about the early '60’s… The Vietnam War was going Full Steam back then… As I remember, times were pretty tough back then, as well…
That’s about as close as I got to the Hippie way-of-life…
One of the stages I got to play on …
late’68…
We recorded an LP with one of the songs, about living and traveling up-and-down the roads…
I plan to digitize some of that old stuff and post it up here on cyber…
somewhere…
That way it will always be around somewhere…
That DJ Desk is coming right along…
The computer is just about ready to get connected to the desk…
I have a ST 2000/Hoontech 8-Track recorder/playback unit to install in it yet…
It’s an old P-4 box with XP Home as the operating system…
I have a few more applications to load on it…
Then see if it’ll work…
