Hi - Just downloaded and (re) installed the Arm64 Beta (download page says its Build number: 9527 - Released on 21/03/2025). On trying to run it, it appears to open with my last used file successfully and then immediately closes itself down.
I’m installing on a laptop with Snapdragon X Plus processor.
Any thoughts?
Hi,
If you’re using the ARM version on Linux:
Which Linux distribution are you using? Did the app work before the update?
The issue may be caused by an n-Track configuration problem.
Please try manually renaming the program data folder (e.g., by adding an underscore before the name) located at /home/[Your Username]/.local/share/ntrack
, so that n-Track starts with the default configuration.
The .local
folder is hidden by default. To make it visible in the Files app, navigate to the Home folder and press Ctrl + H.
If this procedure resolves the crash, could you please zip and send the renamed folder to andrea@ntrack.com (you may use a third-party service like WeTransfer) so that I can try to replicate the issue using your configuration?
If the problem persists, please try running the app from the Terminal by executing the command:
/opt/n-Track/launch_ntrack.sh
Then, check if any error message appears after the crash.
If you are using the ARM version on Windows:
Before installing the ARM version, did you use the 64-bit version of n-Track?
If so, the crash may be caused by loading a project that was started on the 64-bit version into the ARM version.
Try launching the app while holding Ctrl so that n-Track does not reload the last project you were working on.
If the crash persists, try resetting the configuration by renaming the folder:
C:\Users[Your Username]\AppData\Roaming\n-Track Studio 10.
Note that the AppData folder may be hidden. To show it, open File Explorer, navigate to C:\Users[Your Username], click on the View menu at the top of the window, select Show, and then choose Hidden items.
Please let me know.

Hi Andrea
Its the Windows ARM64 version.
I tried using CTRL but that didn’t work (opened and closed straight away). Also tried renaming the folder (to “…n-Track Studio 10x”). It still just opened and closed (after ab Error opening Audio Device). It had then created a new “…n-Track Studio 10” folder.
Is it worth me uninstalling all versions and then re-installing?
Andrew,
we have just released a new beta build that should resolve the crash at application startup.
Please let me know.
Andrea
Andrea
That works fine now thanks for your rapid and clear help (as always!)
