How does the auto-quantize recordings feature work? It seems like I can only get it to quantize to the beat when I record midi, no matter what subdivision I set in the Grid menu. How can I get it to quantize in 16th notes or 16th note triplets?
My ancient drum machine from 1995 will automatically quantize to whatever subdivision you set when recording a loop. So it seems really strange that N-Track doesn’t work this way.
I’ve tested it and wasn’t able to reproduce any issue with the quantizing of recorded MIDI tracks. It appears to correctly follow the subdivision set in the main timeline grid.
Note that it doesn’t follow the grid set in the pianoroll. See the screenshot below with the button for the correct grid subdivision to set.
If the problem persists please post a short video or some screenshots showing the issue.
