Aux buss vs. Group

Any CPU efficiency difference?

If I want to add an effect (say reverb) to a certain bunch of tracks does it make any difference if I submix to a Group channel with the effect or send out to an Aux buss with the effect?

I understand it is two completely different routing paths but they can give the same audio result in the final mix. It seems like the Group approach could be slightly more CPU friendly since you are using the main channel faders rather than an additional set of “aux send” faders.

Is one way more CPU efficient than the other or no difference?

Hi slowfingers:
Good question…

I would like to see Flavio work on the Group “Area” of n-Track, in some future build./version… Mabey, he will…

eg: When moveing tracks to a Group, the tracks should be removed from the Global Mixer… Including a Master output section… Each Group should have it’s own Mini-Mixer Screen, or sub-mixer… In my mind, it would make controlling tracks in the different groups easier to manage…

These are just my thoughts on manageing tracks inserted into Groups… :O ???
