Is it just me and my system, or have you noticed that you have “automatic” reverb through the aux channel?
When I click on my Aux channels’ EQ properties, I’ve noted that reverb appears there by default, and I can’t figure out how to eliminate it.
Nothing against reverb, but I’d rather not have it defaulted in the Aux channel.
Any thoughts on how to remove it?
I’m using 5.1.1 build 2313 (in 16 bit)

PS: In case any of you heathens were concerned that I may have missed church by observing the time on this post, I want to let you know that I went to the early service today. lol
Yes, I have noticed this. Think actually I’ve posted a question about this earlier. The reverb seems to be the default “always on” effect for the aux channels. It can be removed/bypassed/replaced from the aux settings window (eq window). I would have prefered that it was off by default, though.
One other point — the reverb is not selected in the box below the eq dials… (the box is empty - leading you to believe that there is nothing effecting the channel).
That said, the reverb is only visable when you doubleclick on one of the eq knobs - and you see it - “large hall” reverb - and no way to remove it.
This is V5 latest build…

Hey… figured it out… here’s how to remove the reverb - always on feature - in your aux channel.
Double click on the eq knobs so you can see what’s underneath. Go to the tuning fork on the right hand side of the reverb area, and right click it. It will ask you if you want to remove the effect for just that channel or all channels. Select the option that suits you best.
To get it back in there, right click on the eq tuning fork on the left hand side, and it’ll allow you to select the option(s) you want built in.
On the subject of aux channels, I am using v4 and I can’t actually get the aux channels to work. I send audio to them and turn the aux fader up, but its meter says nothing. Is this common or am I suffering from stupidity? I draw the send and return envelopes the way I want, do I have to set up a separate track to return the aux to? Thanks.
No Rip, if you have say Aux1 with fader set at 0db, then go to a channel and send signal thru aux fader then you should be hearing it, test it with out a plug inserted.
Thanks for the answer, Yaz. I am actually away from all of my recording for another few weeks yet, but as soon as I get back I will give it a go.
You’ve got to have the small Aux 1 (assuming you’re using Aux Channel #1)fader “up” on your main volume control as well - or the sound will not be effected.
I don’t see aux send and receive in V6. If I right click on the mixer and choose “show aux send” or “receive”, I get nothing. The vu meters show a quick blip, but no faders or nobs appear.
Anyone else have that prob, or have the aux controllers visible?
thx,
Levi
Click on add channel then add aux channel, should see a aux channel in the main mixer Levi. I think by default there is no aux channels added.
I find it curious that “n-Track V6 works GREAT here!” and he hasn’t even used it enough to discover the Aux channels got moved to the “Insert…” menu…??
Doesn’t give me the warm and fuzzies Levi. Just sayin’…

There’s a lot of changes from 4 to 6 that someone might not notice until they started looking for ‘em.
Just sayin’…
Yeah… yeah… personally, I’m hesitant to run up the flag and salute a product if I haven’t really worked it over… That’s just me though… for better or worse.

Give it rest.

Your right I haven't messed with the aux channels. But I've worked V6 over more than enough to know how good it is. It's solid for me. I wasn't to concerned about the aux channels 4 2 reasons. 1, no one was complaining about them. 2, I hardly ever use them. After using nTrack for almost 10 yrs, I love it. True I don't use midi so I'm no help there but I have more than overloaded V6 with tracks, effects and imagery. While playing, highlighting and zooming in, all at the same time. If that isn't a solid test nothing is. And that was with the default nTrack settings. v6 is more than stable for my wav files. Aux? Hey I'm just coming off the road after 2yrs and 9mo and just now setting my studio back up. Oh yea the mixer strips lol that's where I found the add aux channel icon.
Warm and fuzzy?

Oh speaking of studios, I just dropped my main draw off for repairs, darn.
Thx g4h,
Levi

Good luck Levi. You know I meant no harm right? I just find it prudent to TRY to break stuff before I go "HOORAY!" Like I said, that's just me...
Give it rest.
I've been "resting" for almost four years... a few more won't hurt...
