I am just getting started and have a Tascam US-224. When I record vocals from the Tascam I can barely hear myself compared to the music. I have everything on the Tascam maxed out and even then I have to turn the music way down so I can hear my vocal inputs.
Is there a setting on N-Track or the Tascam that will allow me to hear myself louder or do I just need better headphones?

What headphones are you using right now? Try changing the balance between your own tracking and what is already recorded. This is easily done with the n-Track mixer…
