The line 6 Tone port sounds amazing.

is your PC USB2 enabled ? - its no good buying any usb item(high speed or not) only to see XP say ‘this item can work faster’ - i.e. XP is saying that the PC has no usb 2 port only usb 1 - Win 2K and below does not know about usb2 as it was not in existance when these OS where produced - Win 2K sp4 adds usb2 to PC but only if it has the correct chips installed - winXP sp2 has usb 2 drivers but PC still has to have the correct chips inside -

if HI Speed bypasses tie normal usb protocol then all may be well, but its worth finding out what usb level your PC has onboard -

Remember to set the USB2 option in the BIOS in order to enable it. It usually defaults to USB1 after a BIOS upgrade - at least on my ASUS motherboard.
