I'm an SIR fan for sure... but LearJeff is right. The reverb included with n-Track is nothing to scoff at. I use it quite a bit myself. The only niggle with SIR (or ANY convolution reverb for that matter...) is pretty heavy CPU usage. Definitely use SIR in an Aux if you can and only run the one instance.
D
Don't forget you have the option to freeze the track if you have problems with CPU usage.
Hi All: I am a SIR Fan. I have a series of IR Samples posted on my Page for anyone interested in some “Spikes” that work well for Acoustic Pianos.
On the page you’ll see S.I.R./Impluse Response Samples… They are compressed in .rar extension. Just uncompress them to .wav files and direct S.I.R. to where you placed the files and have fun…
The kjaerhaus Classic series is good, but I'll throw in a pitch for Glaceverb and Anwida Reverb Lite. Both of these are excellent and have many, many good presets and as well as many adjustable parameters.
Hey, glace is pretty cool! Thanks for that link!
Just tryed the GlaceVerb thing, and really it has some very nice presets, specially for large halls. Thanks!

Cool. I wish more vst effects would give presets like that. I’ve found another free reverb and other vst effects called Blue Line plug-ins. These seem pretty decent so far.
the Blue line ones were pretty much the first really cheap /free plug ins out there. I never really grooved on the reverb, but I still think the gate is cool with the ADSR envelope.
Mind you, when you unfreeze the track it won't sound nearly as cool.
Quite right.
Remember, you should cook your tracks immediately after defrosting them and NEVER ever refreeze a track you've already defrosted. It just ruins the texture.
