Help me out folks!
Hi there! New user here!
I am working on a case study at the University, the theme is “Free or Low cost DAWs for emergent studios.”
I need to get answers about 4 questions only, your help and experience is much appreciated.
Please answer for each question: Terrible, bad, good or excellent
Here’s the questions for n-Track:
How good is GUI (Graphic User Interface)?
How is easy of use?
Included effects quality is…?
Included virtual instruments quality?
That’s it! If you have experience with other low cost DAWs feel free to answer the same questions, will help me a lot!
Thank you all!

Now for Reaper.

How good is GUI (Graphic User Interface)? Good
How is easy of use? Good
Included effects quality is…? Excellent
Included virtual instruments quality? Excellent

I have experience with both. There are some things I have to do in Reaper and the rest in N-Track. My judgement is: both have a steep learning curve; Reaper more so than N-Track.
N-Track is by far, more user friendly, however Reaper has some better functionality with better stability in certain areas. I base this opinion solely on compatibility with BFD 2 and /3 Drum Kits. There is simply things Reaper can do that N-Track can’t do. That being said, N-Tracks work flow is unsurpassed and it’s tech support is unmatched.
Hope this helps,
PACO
Cool! Thanks a lot PACO! Very Helpful
I added one more asnwer option and one more question:
Please answer for each question: Terrible, bad, regular, good or excellent
How good is GUI Overall?
How is easy of use?
Included effects quality is…?
Included virtual instruments quality?
Would you recommend it for professional (recording studio) use?
Since I don’t work in a professional studio or even been in one, I can’t say for sure.
Sorry.
