Trying to find a good compression

Hi people,
I am mixing my new album and, although I am happy with the way I deal with the voice, compression is always something difficult for me to deal with. I have tried the compression offered in n-Track but I don’t know which effect is better for what I do. I record with an AKG P420 and use the effect ambient vocals on ezmix2.
