What Is Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP)?

Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) concerns unexpected voices found in recording media. It is a form of after death communication. ITC is a newer term that includes all of the ways these unexpected voices and images are collected through technology, including EVP. Of the many hypotheses designed to explain these phenomena, the Survival Hypothesis has been found to be most effective in answering the evidence.

as long as they dont do it during my solo, its ok :D

No, the hypothesis most effective at explaining the phenomena is that of human pattern recognition; it’s such a persuasive attribute that we often see/hear patterns that are not actually there; animals and faces in clouds, inkblots, and the rest.

When I’m very tired, I hear all sorts of music coming from the AC unit. I hope to find my next hit single there, but so far it mostly sounds like William Hung on crack. :(

Eyup!

Amateur Radio operators know this phenomenon well. Sit listening to white noise for faint signals and you will surely hear them. So nothing new here, just some budding capitalists hoping to persuade the stupid punters to shell out for their “recommended reading” list.
Of course, I could be wrong, maybe one of the Survival Zone people will communicate with me via my hearing aid ???

And we have arrived, full circle, at the definition of religion.

EVP-hollywood hyped up movies?

Maybe TomS has recorded some from sampling the ol’ Hover? Dust mites screaming let us out? Maybe it’s too early in the a.m. for me to be reading this post? Maybe the wife’s sleeping (dreaming and talking very loud) habits that deprive me of sleep can cause the ears to hear strange EVP from the fridge at 3a.m.?

Maybe, just maybe I’m getting old. :(
