Expired Beta Version

This bug is rather annoying - anyone else get this cycle of annoyance? Expired version - go get a new one - that one won’t work either ??? No way to enter registration codes. How did that problem come back? Or is it just my timing?

Wow Poppa thought that was fixed! There’s something wrong with the installer here, the 64 bit installer-installs 32 bit v5 and v6.
Plus the save comp presets only saves on my old 32 bit machine, still won’t save on the 64 bit machine, same error.

Well build 2345 is up and the 64 bit installer is fixed.

Still getting errors saving compressor presets on the track mixer/master mixer “Channel EQ Properties”
Maybe I’m missing something or not holding my mouth right! OK gonna try posting a screen shot to see if I’m doing this wrong.

Let us know Yaz - I’ll go grab the new build.

new build same cycle.

When does the crash exactly happen? Do you get an ‘expired beta version’ message? Or ‘Expired trial version’? In the latter case there should be an “Enter registration codes” button in the upper right corner of the popup window. Version 5.x codes should work fine in v6.0 beta.
If you get a “Expired beta version” message, that would be very strange. The beta is set to expire on the 1st of August. By that time a beta that expire later will be available.

Flavio.

Well Flavio - this is embarrassing. My clock on my DAW was set a week ahead for importing files from a friend who had “files from the future” - I just reset my clock and new build runs well.

Good news though! Your beta expire works!

The future file problem is a pain. The workaround I found was to “copy as” the files from a wave editor that could open files from the future. (either Sound Forge or Audition would do ok, but the other wouldn’t, and simply making a copy of the file wouldn’t fix it)

Those files are valid, and not really from the future, but from Norway, which is about 9 hours ahead from West Coast time. If I were to wait a day all would be good and there wouldn’t be a problem.

Many other apps have this problem, so it’s not really a bug in n-Tracks.

Back to the future so to speak, uhhh

"Gotta get back in time"

Huey Yaz and The News!

I knew the guy was ahead of his time - but that was the first ‘future file’ message I had seen.

It’s not good when you get your clock turned around…

The Back to the Future (one) was a great movie… Huey Lewis and the News… Great songs…

n-Track v6.0_b_2344 is “Calling Home” However, I don’t have the Check-Box checked on the launch screen… on this P-111 machine… It says that b2346 is available for download… Now that I have the check for updates “checked”… I don’t see the update anymore.

Is/Should the Preferences Update CHECK Box and the Launch Screen CHECK Box… One-in-the-Same ????

Bill…

Hey Bill, haven’t ever had my clock turned around, but had my “clock cleaned” a couple times, stupid bar fights.

Yes on the update from inside the proggie, doesn’t show a download, same happened here. Closed n and surfed to get the up grade.

OK, here’s a screen shot of the problem I’m having with the comp settings not saving error, you’ll notice with the docked mixer I have opened the master and 1 track channel eq screens, the master starts with default settings while the tracks eq properties are blank on the commpressor. This is where I’m getting the error of saving compressor settings. Am I doing this wrong? Any ideas?

Also the eq settings come up default on both with the eq box at the top, there is no problem saving settings in the eq drop down, just the compressor drop down boxes.

HEY POPPA, I ACTUALLY FIGURED THIS OUT! Posting a screen shot that is LOL! :)

Good Job Yaz - I ran a few tests.
Mine is saving and able to recall just fine. 32 bit Vista Home Premie.

Is this in your 64 bit or 32?

OK, ran some more tests on this Poppa, took project from 64bit machine to 32 bit machine, comp presets save just fine (Windows Vista 32 bit Home Premium)

On the 64 bit machine (Windows Vista 64 bit Home Premium), running both apps, 32 bit and 64 bit nTrack was still getting the error saving comp settings. This was opening a project identical to the one I put on the 32 bit machine.
But! and there’s always a “butt” somewhere. (which is normally me, myself and I)
Without opening the project and just importing a single wave into nTrack on both apps, they are fine. So I’ll have to re-import the waves into the project and re-do them.

So this may fix all the bugs I’ve found so far, next is midi! (OH BOY AIN"T WE EXCITED NOW)

Yaz The Beta Butt Bug

NOPE, that wasn’t a fix, if I have only 1 track channel they will save, as soon as I insert 2 or more tracks into the project, same problem, error saving presets.

I am

Buffaloed (Springfielded)

That’s just odd.

Got e-mail from Flavio about an hour ago, new build up 2347. The up-date from inside the app is fixed.
I now can save preset comp settings! HOORAY!

I now have no bugs to report here. Running smoooooooooooooth.

THANKS FLAVIO! :)

Happy Feet Yaz!
