I’m on Android and am using ntrack pro. It is difficult to import files into sampler as it Opens the sidebar file explorer which only shows internal files of ntrack. And since I’m in newer version of Android it is difficult to paste files into the internal files of ntrack pro. drag and drop works but my files disappear. Yesterday I had dragged a sample into melodic sampler from a file explorer but the file has disappeared from the sampler and it’s playing the default grand piano.
Is there any way I can change which storage directory ntrack Pro defaults to? Or is there any way I can force the melodic sampler to open android file picker for samples instead of in-app file picker?
PS: even if it is possible to force it to open android file picker it is very unintuitive since the android file picker doesn’t allow us to audition audio files
(Also: this post doesn’t really fit into the discussion category if what I’m asking doesn’t exist as a feature but whatever)
Thanks for pointing this out. We’re working on adding the ability to add custom folders from the device public storage to the n-Track Loop Browser. An update that should be online in about a week will add this.
As for the issue with the file imported into the sampler later disappearing, could you please post a short video showing how this happens? When you import a file (in the sampler or into n-Track in general), it should be copied into the song’s audio files folder, so the location where it came from shouldn’t matter.
Right now on Android the way to import a sample that sits outside of the n-Track sounds library into the sampler is to import the file into a “temporary” audio track, then from the sampler open the loop browser and browse to the “Song” → “Project files” folder. Once the file is in the sampler you can delete the imported track.
Flavio.

I can’t seem to recreate the thing when my file dissapreared. It happened randomly
Also, thanks a lot for telling me how samples are actually supposed to be imported, I tried it, imported a sample and closed and reopened the app multiple times even force stopped it and it hasn’t dissapreared and I’m not having issues with it either.
Also, your forum/support is very good compared to other considering the fact that you actually replied within 24H and the fact that y’all gave me a workaround is great.
Love yall
