version 4.1 - can’t find the “R” button
earlier versions had an “R” button to record the fader movements as the song played. There was a “P” button to display the fader movements.
Where did they go? anyone know?

Look next to the “Time:” window. You know… where the song position is displayed on the transport toolbar? There are two buttons there. One shaped like an arrow to enable playback of recorded fader movements and a circle to enable recording fader movements. I never use it myself. I just draw envelopes…

Thanks. I usually draw envelopes myself. However, from time to time I like to use the feature if I want to hear something as I am playing the song - like adding a background sustain. Then I can go back and adjust it with the envelope.
I wonder if the manual will ever catch up to the versions?
