Move to UT - you’ll be in the majority.

Hey I saw the 2 senate candidates debating yesterday on Meet the Press. The Democratic lady seemed pretty solid. How is she doing?

Amy Klobuchar...she is going to win walking away. Not even close.

Hey, Clark, the three of us have found something we have in common! I’m all for the parade, myself. :)

I saw a bit about that race - why exactly is Klobuchar doing so well?

errr…cuz she is a Democrat?

honestly, I don’t have a feel for why. She ha said nothing, in my mind, any different than any other Dem here in MN. I think she has solid name recog, especially in Hennepin county. Of course, her opponent is hating being a member of the Republican party right now too…

My wife has NO idea why she is going to vote for her, but she is…

welcome to uninformed America, i guess.

Well you can tell your wife I thought that Ms. Klobuchar was very intelligent & well spoken. I thought she answered the questions better than Kennedy who just spoke the party line, “stay the course”, blah, blah, blah. I’ve seen it’s a dead heat so why do you think she’ll win?

One thing that struck me immediately when I heard the report about married couples being in the minority - where’s the outrage & call from the right-wing to ban unmarried couples living together??? Surely, this trend is as much a threat or more to the institution of marriage than gays.

Come on right-wingers - explain why you are so silent!!!

I am a minority now…I am sure the Rev Jackson will speak for me, right?

Mike, Amy K is polling at about 55% vs Kennedy at 37% as of this morning. MN being a state full of bandwagon jumpers, she will win quite easily come election day. That’s my gut feeling.

I WANT A PARADE! I WANT A PARADE!

Sure… for a nominal fee…

D

are you saying there will not be a rally of some sort in for us? we, the downtrodden minority who cannot get a break from the powers that be? we who only want the same rights? we who are held down by our minority status?

Won’t the good rev speak for us that have no voice????

Won’t someone think about the children??????
My god! The children!

I also want to know when we get Married Couple history month? What month do we get?

cuz, we can’t ignore our history or we is damned to repeat it

Clark, Clark, Clark… don’t you know it is not politically expedient to embrace our cause? Where is the money to be made in promoting something as mundane as “The Family Unit” defined as man and wife with 1.68 children?

We’re on our own pal…

D

we are a minority. where are the people who look out for the minorities of this country? they should be declaring us their new cause celebre? no? we don’t get a march on washington? early entry to Harvard(or Michigan for that matter?) we don’t get a National Organization of People Engaged? no N.O.P.E.? we don’t get to fill up 5th ave in NYC 18 inches deep with garbage after our Married couples heritage parade? what, no National Org? No parade? No special interests in DC?

Oh, that’s right. we are mundane.

HOORAY FOR MUNDANE! Let’s hear it people!

D – mundane married guy with 1.68 kids. (You should see .68. He’s a little ugly turd… but we love him!

Early entry to Michigan can be yours quite easily, if you have the $$$. :)

A “Married Couples Heritage Parade.” Wonder what the floats for that would be.

yes, but on want to get in based on the fact that I am a minority! I want to live in married housing without fear of single people crashing our parties!

The single greatest threat to marriage is single people.

A number of couples interviewed agreed that cohabiting was akin to taking a test drive and, given the scarcity of affordable apartments and homes, also a matter of convenience and economy. Some said that pregnancy was the only thing that would prompt them to make a legal commitment anytime soon. Others said they never intended to marry. A few of those couples said they were inspired by solidarity with gay and lesbian couples who cannot legally marry in most states.

Anybody want to take a bet that the “some” and the “couples” and the “others” who said those things, were in reality, the male half!

(“Showing solidarity with gay and lesbian couples”. Jeez! I wish I’d thought of that one! :D)

I wish I knew what showing solidarity was, then I would know what it is they are doing with gay and lesbian couples.

On second thought I don't want to know!
