that is great advice for anyone wanting to use all the apps already made for pre iOS 7 phones and devices over the last few years.
Apple doesn't seem to care they left all those programmers of many of these useful utilities in the lurch, it helps bolster their monopoly.
Well, I bought Audiobus and started messing around with it tonight. It took a good hour or so of messing with it to learn how it works, but it's promising so far. It's doing exactly what I wanted it to do so far, which is just let me use some good sounds instead of General MIDI. It's worked perfectly with Alchemy and Neo Soul Keys so far.
Let's hope it keeps up!

I think they say 4S or better just because they don't want to deal with supporting older phones....but in some cases it can work!

I have an android tablet I want to try Ntrack on but I am not expecting all the routing options iOS offered with Jack and Audiobus.
tho I have found DAW OSC for FREE! which was surprising I thought OSC was iOs native/proprietary.
I will eventually get a mini ipad or ipad 2 on iOS 6 for the best of both worlds......
