It's offiical - Franken's running

I’d bet folding money Red Eye that you spent hours spell checking and grammar checking that post of yours!

even a moron like O’Reilly

…could probably spell his own name correctly in his forum signature!

that’s actually a link to his blog…not his name per say…unless his last name is dot com.

Anyway the last entry was 2004 and a rather short story even by blog standards…so it’s no great loss should you not be able to figure out how to add the extra l to get there…

I Knew I could rely on Jerm to be an expert on ‘L’. :p :D

It’s actually “El”,
but pronounced “L”… hey what’s a missing E in the grand scheme of things?..especially with all the silent ones running about…

jerm

Actually, you don’t have to add anything. “billclarke.blogspot.com” was taken when I registered with blogspot so I dropped the one “L” and registered as "“bilclarke.blogspot.com” figuring it was close enough that people could figure it out. Just part of the downside of having a name only slightly less common than “John Smith”. Same thing at youtube, I ended up registering as WmBClarke because the more obvious permutations of my name were already taken.

I guess they’ve discontinued the blog since I wasn’t keeping it up; I suppose I should delete it from my sig. It just doesn’t seem terribly important.

Are you sure they discontinued it for not keeping it up?

The person who owns the other URL “billclarke.blogspot.com” has not posted since 2004.

So the evidence would suggest there is not so much of a time limit on the blogs…

Unless of course your last entry was 2003 or later and their cut off time period is 4 years…

Anyhow, I would read the blog if you had one…

Here’s mine…

Jerms myspace blog…

Well Jeremy, since you asked - I’m not really sure what is happening with it.

A search produced this result - http://search.blogger.com/?ui=blg&q=bilclarke which shows one entry from July 2006 and the same URL that I have in my sig but that URL shows as “Not Found”. Perhaps my blog fell through the switches when they changed over to their new system, I dunno.

In any event, that URL used to work; now it doesn’t.

To my mind, the real issue is that the red eyed dog chose to slam me with what amounts to a spell-flame. I was going to ignore it since it seemed so trivial but then it became sort of an issue. I, for one, am in favour of dropping the whole thing.

Also, this talk of ‘not keeping it up’ has a totally different connotation when you’re past 50.

Perhaps some virtual viagra would help…

Jeeeeez, Bill. It wasn't intended as a "slam" or a "flame" - weird that you would interpret it that way. Are you serious? You DO know who I am, right?!?!

Now the fifth post on THIS page could be considered a a slam and a flame!!!

http://www.ntrack.com/cgi-bin…6;st=30

It’s so weird though… I can’t believe that I took the time to do that. But yeah. If I intended to flame, you’d know it!

As it turns out, ksdb is an okay guy. I mean, there’s no way I could hate a KC Chiefs fan.

What can I say; weird is as weird does, I guess. And I’ve been weird for years.

Are you serious?

Rarely.

Nope. Don’t know; don’t particularly care.
EDIT - Correction - after checking the link in the subsequent post I figured it out (Well, d’uh…) - EDIT

Good!

I however, am always serious.

I am unable to use the word ‘atrocious’ to describe the standard of spelling on this forum, purely because it leaves no suitable word to describe the standard of grammar.

To me, it represents - not just a symptom of an ill-formed and/or malfunctioning brain - but also an important indication of the serious moral collapse of society.

Toke rants on for pages re politics etc., but seems sadly unaware that his usage of words such as; “color”, “tire”, “neighbor”, etc., completely invalidates whatever point he was struggling to make.

I therefore appeal to Flavio to appoint a moderator to this forum. One who’s sole responsibility will be to delete posts with spelling or grammatical errors. (To simplify things, Jerm should just be tracked down and killed by a hired assassin).

I further propose that Lalland Scots be the yardstick by which we judge those standards, (on grounds of historical precedent).

Thank you.

I didn’t know that Scotland had any presidents, historical or otherwise. (You sure do spell that word “president” funny, Ali!)

HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAAAAHAHAHAHAAHHAAAHAHHAAHAHA

Okay (note) we know that British (note) spelling is preferable (note) yet nonetheless (note) we need to be mindful (note) that we do have Americans (and other savages) (note) - contibuting to this forum (note). So let us be respectful (note) of the differences.

Bill, I am always prepared to go halfway.

I use English English on here and in most other places, instead of my native Lallands.

But, asking me to accept American is asking me to take one step too far.

However, in the interests of international fraternity, I will take that further step, but, only if we still agree to have Jerm assassinated! :D

No picking on Jeremy!

Can anyone say terroristic threats?

I would press charges, but the rest of the alphabet would miss it’s leader… :p

I think was all know what the “a” stands for…

_sshole. Little game of hangman…

I have told him before and will tell him again should he ever grow the ball necessary to register and sign on here.

See Tom! That’s why I pick on Jerm!

I used to pick on Toke, I even once in a while picked on you, but Jerm has a perfect sense of humour, and always gives as good as he gets! :D

(But I’m still quite interested in the assassination idea.)
