Lost In Translation

Play Along!

Here’s how you play:

Copy some English lyrics - it works best if they’re lyrics everybody would know - into babelfish
and translate them into Japanese. Copy the Japanese characters back into babelfish and re-translate them back into English.
Then post the re-translated lyrics here and see if someone can guess the song.

I’ll start us off with an easy one:

Hi Guys:
What happens if you come up with a million dollar seller from a million dollar song? Who gets to spend the copyright fees?

Something like that could become the daily “Brain Teaser” in the morning paper…

Bill…

Hmmm, Bob Dylan, Lay Lady Lay ?

An easy one

"Being as for me how it flies, from the gun like the cover whether you look at the method of running we who are I to see to be entirely and together, being to be he, it is he,"

Elvin Bishop - Fooled Around And Fell In Love?

Good one Bill.

I’m thinking Cliff’s song is Neil Young’s “Don’t Let It Bring You Down”

Maybe we should have a rule like: “whoever guesses correctly gets to propose another”.

Just a thought - so we don’t end up with twenty going at once. What do you think?

Good Idea Bill. My feeble brain was confusing the last two together!

Well, I don’t want to set the rules. We should see if we need such a rule then get a consensus.

It’s just that not knowing the answer is the kind of thing that could drive me crazy (I know, in my case that’s not a drive but a short putt.)

Like g8torcliff’s is driving me nuts now.

Just read this part of your post - for sure that’s it.

Oh, that’s an excellent one! And good for you figuring it out - I was totally stumped.
