Lyric track in n-T?

Can it be done?

Hi. Is there a way to create a text track?
You know, so that the lyric has a track that scrolls by in the timeline.
(editable ‘on the fly’ would be nice).

PS. Or does that go on the wish list?

I think you can use markers to do that.

Also a bouncing ball for the lyric track would be rad. But that might
encourage drug use.
 Cheers 7, I'm still on medication for metronome abuse.
Come on dude, I bet 'you' know how to enter text into a track in the timeline?

Varakeef! I tried a test track with markers but can't find a click in n-T to do the job?

That’s pretty neat with the markers. Never thought about using them before.
Not any good for lyrics though (except reminders). I have to agree. Adding a lyric track would be cool.

But then you would have to add this also: (Replacing Mark with Robert Plant)

How about a Karaoke plug in?

I know there are Karaoke programs that do this for visual display but not sure if there are any VST versions that would work in Ntrack, anywho I would imagine it would not be “in the track” but in a led looking display on the screen, like the time clock shows up.

I did?

neither one of the downloads links for the APP. VST worked for me.

Anywho, this is the next step in the evolution of my live rig, having my GNX4 strigger my LA multigate (for drum mic limiting), and a pair of DMX triggered lights running of a SHOW PRO Midi controller, as well as a Digitech Studio S100 (for vocal FX) the next thing on the list is midi triggered karaoke lyric display/projector/monitor. but a VST would be great as well!

I see what you mean - the font button in the marker settings!
Sadly, it doesn’t work. 2553.
Anyone else?

There are a few VST’s that work with Winamp and Mediaplayer however they are not compatible with NTrack to my knowledge.

How come?

Just
- place a marker with ctrl + M.
- right click it > Marker properties
- check "Pop up textduring playback"
- type the pieces of lyrics you want to see
- with manage markers you may adjust how early before the marker you see the text

I don't know if this is very convenient way to get the whole lyrics of the song that way, but for smaller snippets why not.

Doh! Cheers Varakeef. I overshot the point you mentioned and went straight for the; marker>prop’s>settings>font button which didn’t open (presumably cause I hadn’t entered any text:-) Cheers again.

Wish I could get it together enough to build a plug-in that creates a transparent ‘always on top’ text track with a pop-open GUI note pad.
Any o’ you guys into that jazzz?

Windows 7 has sticky notes. Pretty neat but they seem to only stick on the desktop
