- 1/10th of a note off will be hardly decernable to all but the best trained ears -
we will have to see what we get - but as far as i know nothing will appear before version 6 0 3 - one thing is for sure if Flavio autmates the cloning of the tracks and the initial settings of the pitch per track, all you have to do is set the splice (cut) points -
you can do everything in one note (whole) steps in N right now -
insert a track, doubl eclick in it to open the tracks properties box, look at the lower TRANSPOSE box, if it shows 0 then it is a normal wave file, if it shows the note value (say) C# then it is an ACIDISED wave file, either way the same thing applies - now play track - find out of tune part, maks splice (cut) before part and again after out of tune part - click in out of tune part, properties will change to the properties for that section of track - every time you splice a track the splice is treated as if it is a seperate track - now adjust the transpose +1 or -1 to bring it nearer to being in tune - play track, the pitch will only change when the timeline runs into the cut section and will then return to normal when it leaves that section - it is here that the 10 step slider will be usefull as whole note jumps can sound hard - when we get the slider we will be able to do very fine cuts at points before the bad notes, change the values by each small cut by 1/10th of a note making the notes GLIDE in to each other -
looks like its a old DOS application, not touched since 2005, it does some good things but N is ahead of if by country mile now, if Flavio comes up with the automated setup and extra pitch shift addition N will be able to give the BIG TWO pitch shift engines a good run for their money, (actually no money) as it was in N for some time but with the suggestions from this board N has greatly improved both in functions and useability -
i think that nTUNE would be a better title than matrix editor, the ability to pitch shift any part of a of a track and to add in harmony parts (as per the samples in the download package) in a DAW as a default feature (not a plugin) puts N right up at the TOP of the DAW tree -

Hey majic that is awesome, N's value as a production tool keeps growing! Nice contribution man, if that slider is added that will be remarkable! Great work!
