I bought a new windows 11 laptop. runs quick. I have n-track on it. I have a cheap Chromebook that has n track on it. I plug an external microphone into my Chromebook and it works fine. I plug into my windows 11 laptop and I can’t get the microphone to work. I record a simple track on my sound recorder app and My mic works. I looked into permissions. I turned my laptop off plugged in the mic and turned it back on with no luck. I’m stumped. I’m thinking it’s something real stupid.
The microphone most likely appears as a separate input device that you can select in the Settings → Audio devices box.
