I’m using the trial version of n-Track on Mac (m1/Apple Silicon) and when I load an auv3 midi plugin (which work in Logic) nothing happens. They are listed and selectable.
Do auv3’s which have been made available for Apple Silicon work in n-Track for Mac?
n-Track is fully compatible with Apple Silicon. Are you using the Apple Silicon (i.e. Arm) version of n-Track? Did you download it from our website or from the Mac App Store? Is the problem with a specific AU, which one? Is the problem only with Auv3 MIDI plugins or also with audio ones?
Hi Flavio, thanks so much for getting back to me. I amusing the Arm version of the free trial downloaded from the n-Track site. I’ve checked the build in the app and it’s definitely Arm.
I’m glad you mentioned non midi auv3’s as I hadn’t actually tested these and as it turns out, the same behaviour exists for all auv3’s (audio effects, instruments and midi effects. I can see them and select them however when I do, nothing happens.
Sorry I remembered that we added support for AUv3s on Mac when we did on iOS but that’s not actually the case. It does support AUv2 plugins on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. We will add support for AUv3 on Mac plugins in v10.2.1 due out in a month or so.
Hi Flavio, thanks so much for looking into this further and for the info. Great news that this will be sorted with the next update! I assume the trial download will get the update as well?
