Multitrack virtual instruments

Is it possible in n-track?

Hi all, I am looking into getting a virtual instrument package that has multitrack output capabilities. I was just wondering if n-track has the capabilities to separate out the multiple tracks as opposed to just a stereo track when triggering with a midi keyboard. Thanks.

You can use as many tracks as you need for midi.

Most vsti samplers can handle 16 different midi CHANNELS (yup, just like TV channels) going to different instruments.

Look through a midi book (you should always have one on your reference shelf anyway…)

I use EZ Drummer and when set to multi mode I receive 8 stereo tracks in the mixer. 1 for each drum and a stereo for overheads and room mics. So I assume yes. If you have a multichannel soundcard you can even set the output of each “track” to a different card and mix down the 8 channels into 8 stereo separated tracks instead of MIDI. Kinda’ handy for rendering the VSTi.
