Sounds rough!

There are a lot of really talented and professional musicians here....
:)

Hey I know when I am out manned and out classed, hope no one minds if I sit this one out!

Good luck guys, regardless of who wins any one of you deserve it.

keep shinin'

jerm

Jeremy, I think you should enter. And tell all your friends to enter too.

A’right, I’ve read enough. I’m in, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect… I just took a restaurant job with wack hours, which has summarily disqualified me from band-related duties. In light of this new (and not 100% pleasant) development, just the other day I resolved to get holed-up on my own and start cranking out tunes. And I’m pretty set and pumped to do it! This could mean nothing, of course!

…Alright, so it’s to be meaningless. But it will be fun! I have to go review my Soundclick membership thingy, or re-join, or whatever… rockin’.

Yeah- no way Jer. You’re in.

I know I don’t contribute a ton but I’m in. I have been an N-Track user since 2003. Love it!

Hi Gents:

There’s some talented writers,musicians,and producers around here…

They/We don’t do it because it’s work…

They do it because they like doing the work they do…

But, I also know there are some gifted Big Name Producers-and-Musicians that lurk around here…
They’ll never post up here telling us just who they are and who they are connected to-and-with in the business…

Bill…

Man, I love the sound of that Mesa Boogie. :agree:

Hi Gents:

Mesa Boogie Amps Sound the way they do because they cost a fortune…
No one ever regretted buying quality…

Coming back to the contest…

If someone had a song to submit to the contest would he/she post the song on a
page somewhere and then mail the link to the contest mail address including what category they’d like to enter the song??
AND
What mp3 resolution should the song be posted in ?

Bill…

Email the link to contest@ntrack.com

It will be downloaded and then posted in whatever category you … uhr, whoever sends it may choose onto the respective SoundClick page.

Bit rate is 128.

Those are some pretty nice prizes…

cliff

So now, I hate to be a total dummy, and really i’m isn’t… but can one of you kind souls please confirm my rendering of the procedure for posting a tune?

Say I’ve recorded a tune and it’s now finished. I’ve converted a copy of it to mp3 at 128kbps. It’s now called “tune.mp3”…

Do I now click on the contest link and simply load the file (after logging in) from wherever it is on my computer- desktop, etc?

I am going here because you mentioned the word ‘link’ referring to the song file to be submitted. This stuff gets too convoluted and I’m suddenly a monkey in a monkey tree. ???

Thanks for giving to the United Way…

(How’s it goin’ Cliff? :D )

Email it to contest@ntrack.com - some bozo will upload it to whatever category you tell him to in your email. If he gives you any grief let me know.

Thanks! Been through a ton of amps over the past 22 years. Finally settled on Mesa Boogie. I have become a huge fan of the Mark series. Nothing wrong with the Rectifiers but I just like the more focused approach the Mark series takes.

The trick at this point is to figure out what I want to record for the contest. This should be fun!

Thanks, I’ll tell 'em you sent me, Poppa. :)

Fun album.

Thanks Sloom - look forward to hearing your stuff - gonna send me a picture for the Foto page?

Send it here music@firstimagewater.com - I already got a spot picked out for ya

I s’pose I might offer up a pic, after all I’ve been pestering the good folks here on the n-Track forum for a few years now. I’ll see what awkward offerings I may have in the extensive promotional folder!

Anyway I’m looking forward to everyone’s music here. Mine too, I have one I’m anxious to re-do, 4 tracks of bass guitar! Here’s the excuse to flesh it out with some of those “other” instruments. I guess…(snicker)

Some great cover tunes came in…

Cover Tunes

New Original Songs Too!

Keep checkin’ in - bookmark ‘em and hit refresh every now and then.

PLEASE NOTE: I don’t want my “Farting Around Time” cut into more than necessary so please… It’s very important to use a sample rate of 44.1kHz (and NOT 48 kHz). Most of the times that’s the default setting of the mp3 encoder anyway. SoundClick has a re-encoder but it lowers the quality even more, and costs me fartin’ around time. I just had to do seven of them - argh.

Don’t be shy about commenting on the SoundClick Contest Main Page They’re welcome and encouraged!

SoundClick users are also welcome to send ‘friend’ invites, and add to Contest Blog etc…

This may be a little late, but I would enjoy knowing on each submittal how it was recorded, what program, what plugins, any other pertinent info.

Not too late - great idea - send info along with the tune…

contest@ntrack.com

Thanx Val - you gonna enter sumpin’?
