Hi, Paco and thanks for the updates. Loads of cool new stuff. But! I’m perplexed by the new initial layout. I’m crap at this and I was dead comfy with the navigator and track compressor on the right. I tried defaulting and reloading the previous V but it stayed in the new layout?
If you want to use the older layou - right click on an open place in the Mixer and select Layout the Horizontal Strips. This will display the old mixer layout. In the newer versions do some experimenting with right click - some interesting options there.
Hi, Paco and thanks for the updates. Loads of cool new stuff. But! I'm perplexed by the new initial layout. I'm crap at this and I was dead comfy with the navigator and track compressor on the right. I tried defaulting and reloading the previous V but it stayed in the new layout?
A clean install, meaning all files and folders installed by n-Track should be deleted prior to installing to avoid overlapping conflicts, should correct the problem and allow the functions of an older version to work as expected. Please make sure to backup all music and related files first before doing this. Not doing a clean install may cause the issues you are seeing with newer layouts on older versions. n-Track updates, meaning installing from an older version to a newer version appears to be designed to install seamlessly and improve the program, however going backwards may create conflicts. Thats why it's best to always go forward with updates and not backwards. Therefore I do recommend a clean install if you wish to go backwards. I will speak with Flavio on this, because I think it's important that having a seamless install to upgrade to a newer version should have the same quality of seamless integration to return to a previous version. Bax suggestion should give you what your looking for. Thanks Bax.

Great update, the effects browser is a very nice addition.
to TonyR, its easier to just drag the navigator to upper right than to reinstall. all of n’s windows that can be docked can be dragged all over the place and resized. I don’t think I have ever used the default config. I’m always changing it according to my mood.
Cheers guys. What about the track comp? It was always on right and I can’t get it to dock the same. It don’t matter none - it’s not good to get too comfy - I’ll pull my finger out and learn the new ropes. I’ve no desire to go back - I’m lovin’ it too much - just wish I had a bit more time. Hoping to get an our now to have a ‘right click’ about.
Again, thanks guys.
dots on the left of the effects window and a plus on the right.
I suppose the plus is to add an effect or to open the effects browser? What are the dots for?
When the effect window opens I see no effects
I didn’t really see an obvious way to add new effects so I reverted to an earlier build to get the work done.
I think I get it, the dots open a window with the effects that
are on the individual track!?
And the pluss can show all available, you might have to open the favorites or vst folder first to view the available effects.
Then dragg for placement. But I’m not exactly sure how you might add a brand new effect, suppose it will show up on the available list during a scan.
