Hi n-Trackers:

I just updated my XP P-4 machine to build 2806…
I haven’t put much time on the desk with any wav files yet…

I ran into an issue while try to configure n-Track to the way I like to use-and-see the desk’s appearances)…

I notice that the “DROP-DOWN” Menus react in a way I have not see before…

As I scroll over the menus, with the cursor, the menu boxes appear as a silhouette…
Only when the box is scrolled over does the configuration choices appear
and be highlighted…

I am wondering if this issue could be an issue caused by the Graphics Card in this machine…
????

My graphics Card is set to display 1280 x 960 res. @ 32-bit, on this machine…

Hi Flavio… Back Again:

The new “Scrub” Feature works like a Million Bucks…

Shift + Space bar reverses the timeline…
Pressing the Shift Button with “Two Quick Hits” returns to “Play”…
“Scrubbing” to the Timeline Start works fine, so far… The file I tried it on is very close to the Timeline Start and there appears to be a short “Fold Over” of the audio…

That’s the best way I can describe the “Short Replay” of the Audio

when the start of the timeline is reached, by “Scrubbing”…

:agree:
:agree:
:)
Thank you Flavio…

Holy Moly:

Back Again:

I just discovered something with the “Shift” key…
Pressing it “5 Times” activates what Windows calls “Sticky Keys”…

I guess one needs to be careful when using the “Shift” key 5 - Times, in a row…

Flavio…
Is the something to be concerned over ????

[EDIT] Still checking out new features…

Hi Again:

The “Scrub Speed” Works…
It’s not how you use it as opposed to How you get used to using the “Scrub Speed” feature that’s there…

The “Shift” and the “Right-or-Left” Arrow keys, sets the Scrub Speed…

I’m thinking that the Scrub Speed should somehow automatically Default to the X’s 1.0 speed after it’s use…
Maybe, by pressing a Key will Stop-and-Default the scrub when you’re all done using it…
Whatever, that key command is…

Still Thinking…

I thought I could smell smoke coming outta my ears…
:)

Back Again:

b2806 works fine on my E-5200 Dual Processor (Editor) machine…
There is an issue with my P-4 XP video Desk Machine…

I may not be describing this issue correctly…
I’ll word it anyway…
I have a GUI ???? Issue with the P-4 XP Machine on the Video Desk. In an earlier post ( ^ look up ^ ) The drop down menu screens don’t have anything in them till I cursor over the menu with the mouse…

How can I fix this issue ????
Is there a FIX for this?

Back to Report:

I’ve installed b2810 an hour or so ago… I’m getting used to how it behaves…

Thank you Flavio…
Ive been playing with it and
the “Scrub” feature on (the New Build) is working like a charm over here on this P-4 XP Machine…

Whatever happened to my Monitor display on this machine has “Righted” itself and is back work O.K. now…
I don’t believe it was or had anything to do with any n-Track influences…
I went into the Matrox G-550 Graphics Card and tweaked some “Colour” settings of the video monitor settings…

However, this it might be a nice feature to add to the Scrub as it works now…

1

Double the resolution of the “Speed of the Scrub”
In both directions…

The “Scrub Speed” now has a res. of 25% change…
Equal to 0.25
0.50
0.75
from 1.0
in the reverse direction…
and 1.0 res. in the forward direction
or equal to 1.0

2.0

4.0
and so-on…

If the Res. could be changed to read-and-command the Scrub to 1.0
0.875
0.750
0.625
0.500

0.375

0.250

0.125
in both directions …
That would be a “Killer” Scrub Feature/Update…

There’s a lot of math there…
I’m not so good at Arithmetic, anymore…
:p
I’ll leave that for you to consider…

I have to mention that in the Scrub update the CPU Usage has increased from 0.3% per track to 0.7 - 0.8% per track on the timeline… That’s with no Effects Opened per track…
I’m not sure if it’s the “Scrub” update that has changed the CPU Usage of the tracks on the timeline…

Thank you Flavio, for build 2810…
