unplug an F: drive and where your wav. files are and then Upgrade to V6, see what happens.....heck you might not even have to unplug it, if there are other drives involved, eg. G: that take on different names depending on their order.
there are other problems *between 16bit and 24bit settings* and your old files/settings as well that can be confusing for a person when Ntrack freezes up or has pop ups as well.
Hey Jeremy...THANK YOU FOR THAT LINK !!! I really miss that version !! But I'm going to try what you suggested first before I start deleting everything. Would have to do a search to find all the files associated with this version, then delete them and start out fresh with a new download. I'll let you know what happens, okay ?? I sure am happy that we ain't feudin' now !!

I wouldn't suggest deleting any files for Ntacks programming,
that can delete the file but the program will still be installed, uninstall through Windows Manager is the best method.
START>CONTROL PANEL>Add Remove Programs.

Ill second Dontcares response - if you start to try to get rid of a program by deleting the program files you wil create a bigger problem than you have now. Use the control panel to delete the NTrack if you feel going back to version 5 is the answer, BUt trying to remove a program by deleting the program is askiing for problems that only a complete reinstall of windows can fix! I really do not think version 6 is the problem as far as loading the files. The problem is having the program find the files. PLEASE try to find the files first. If you want to go back to version 5 PLEASE use the control panel to uninstall. If you have a problem reinstalling version 5 contact Flavio for instructions - in some cases there can be a probelm going backward on versions. Bax
One of the curious aspects of n-T metronome is that it hasn’t actually got an off/stop button (is there any end to the crazy programming shenanigans;-) The “On” button performs both functions. But - I’m not sure why or if the metronome was “On” - it isn’t on by default. Whilst paying close attention to the points made above by these good fellows, would you be prepared to reinstall V6 (5 min job and nothing lost) and when you are asked if you would like to “keep settings” click “no”. This will turn n-T back to it’s default state.
Go to n-Track’s Settings > Preferences > Paths. Browse for the folder on your ext drive and apply it.

JEREMY, I DID USE CONTROL PANEL TO DELETE THE PROGRAM, BUT I WENT INTO SEARCH FOR ANY FILES LEFT IN MY COMPUTER. WITH SEVERAL CRASHES UNDER MY BELT, I HAVE HAD TO RE-INSTALL SEVERAL TIMES, PLUS THE NEWER VERSIONS…SEARCH CAME UP WITH A WHOLE PAGE OF STUFF. WOULD YOU BELIEVE OVER 14 nTracksetup.exe FILES ?? GOOD GRIEF !! I FIGURED THAT IF I CLEANED IT ALL OUT, THEN A FRESH DOWNLOAD WOULD BE PUTTING IN IT’S OWN NEW FILES AND NO CONFLICT WOULD OCCUR WITH ANYTHING STILL IN MY COMPUTER. IT WORKED GREAT !! The arrangement could be improved (a break, bridge etc) The mixing, well that’s an A-side (can always be outsourced) Lyrics I felt were pretty strong (although would have to be adapted to accommodate a bridge) Execution, I felt the key was all wrong for your vocal range, you voice lends itself to Reba Mcentire, soulful with a southern twang, more specifically with harmonies. they will blend alot better if you get the right key.
