hey tom whats yer opinion on that cheapo beatle bass?i been hot for one and been eyein it up on the friend,do you use the flatwounds on it,most of the reviews i read on it were positive and raved about the finish said they had to have the flatwounds on it though,,,,whats yer take bud???
Well, for a cheapo bass it is really pretty good. Intonation is pretty good, it plays really, really easily, and it sounds pretty close to the more expensive original. But it is clearly a student quality instrument. I saw that Hofner is making a student model of theirs, which might be preferrable.
Ange, anything up on my soundclick thing that doesn't say otherwise is by lil ole me. The best stuff there is by my kids - look for stuff by Ruby, Graeme, and Kate.
