Never give a jackhammer to

a man tying flies

Or something like that.
Anyway, here’s today silliness.

“When We’re Together”:

When We’re Together - click here or don’t!

Really nice… I only would change the Hihats 'cos they’re too much omnipresent, maybe some EQ would be enough…

Really nice voice… I wonder how you recorded/mixed it…

score: 8/10

Ooh! Side! …soooo much fun :;):
Your voice sounds great and the harmonies are so neat.
(gotta agree with wyndorf tho, I found the high hat a little overpowering, can’t hear your vocals enough).
Great stuff. :agree:

Ange x

The hats are supposed to be annoying! The whole drum track is annoying! smashsmashsmashsmishsmashsmashsmishsmashshshahsshashahssahs…

Um, recording…drum track done in Orion with some trashy samples. I tried to do it the wrong way. Bass is a cheapo Rogue Hofner copy, really compressed and EQed like heck, guitar is PRS soapbar through a Fender tweedy amp, miced with a sterling audio LDC, vox the same mic. Oh, and a cheapo 100 bushy dollar acoustic played in a slide-like way with a spark plug wrench, with the same mic.

gettin your drum program down buddy - soundin’ great!

What are you using for drums? I have been experiencing a lot of improvement with programming in EZDrummer and resampling with Drumagog. I tried to click on the Soundclick link but got nothing.

Thanks Poppa (and Wyn, and Ange, and Gibson!)!

In this case I just used the drum machine in Orion.
Dunno why the link doesn’t work, gibson.
Try this:

It’s the song called “When We’re Together”

I LIKE IT TOM! On the edge trying to fall apart, I love it! :)
The kick sounds like it needs tightning up on the rim, awsum!
Slide guitar all over the place and fits perfectly! (First thought it was a resonator geetar, cheap pc speakers, headphones told me otherwise)
Slide reminds me of old David Lynley

What you don't like my hair?
It takes three hours and a whole jar of mousse to get this look!
:D

It looks like an '80sEuroPopstarsongcontestwinner.

Yeah! And what's wrong with that? (he asked threateningly...)

Don’t make me call Bambi…

Cool tune as usual Tom. Everything fits well to my ears!

oooh, Tom! you soooo handsome. :O

HA!!
Is that a Greek God picture, or 70’s porn star? It’s hard to tell the difference. Hmmm…Greek Gods don’t wear white shirts. :)

Oh… the Jackhammer saying reminds me of something my kids great grandmother told them as a lesson of life.

"Never give a hammer to a baby. They know how to use it."

That came from personal experience. She had just left the hardware store, with the kids (future) grandfather, George Skipworth, in a stroller. She met someone she knew on the street. To keep George pacified while she talked she gave him the hammer, thinking he’d sit in the stroller with the heavy object and chew on the wood handle. Unfortunately, George picked it up and banged the plate glass window of the hardware store with it. Yes, it broke the window, and they were all very lucky no one got hurt. Yes, something was learned that.

Then there's the old country standard song.

"Momma get the hammer, there's a fly on babies head."

hey tom whats yer opinion on that cheapo beatle bass?i been hot for one and been eyein it up on the friend,do you use the flatwounds on it,most of the reviews i read on it were positive and raved about the finish said they had to have the flatwounds on it though, whats yer take bud??? :agree: :disagree:

Gave this a listen this evening… not my bag Tom. Sorry… sounds like a train-wreck. But hey… if that’s what you were going for…

“Caught Up In My Shabby Clothes” and “Hamady Bag”… those are my recent faves from the Spademan Hit Factory.

D

PS Please… these are subjective things ya’ know… Since I haven’t recorded any “Diogenes Originals” in a coons age… who am I to throw rocks eh? Keep rockin’ Tom. I am envious of your writing/recording skills… (and your apparent abundance of free time…) work sux…
