The last few years we've really changed the way we do christmas. With the 3 kids, two of which are young men, it was getting silly, so what we do is set a family budget and do a "Secret Santa" between the 5 of us.
So, last year in the UK we did
£50 each. Put the names in a hat; picked one each and that is who we bought for. So I spent
£50 on whoever I picked. It's not secret though - so people can request what they want. This year we did $100NZ. It's actually really good fun. Sometimes we do a
£10/$20NZ stocking too.

Soooo, Santa came early at my house about a month ago. Ms. Claus (aka Linda) let me buy my own present - a new Fender American Deluxe Strat HSS. I traded my trusty ole 1989 MIJ 60's Reissue.
I haven't done any recording with it yet, but I've played 3 or 4 gigs with it.
So far I love it!!!
Bill - I used to have a silver face 1969 Fender Twin - best amp I ever owned.
Good look with your restoration. Those things weigh a ton, so don't hurt your back carrying it around!!

This refit project is gonna happen early in the New Year..
It has been reworked just a short time ago.. I don't know exactly when..
It had the power supply rebuilt along with other work, at that time..
I believe it has a Master Volume control..
The owner wants the output tubes replaced with G/T's # 7's..
He has them and is gonna try the 7's to see it they fit his wants-and-needs..
So, this work should only take time enough to check the output circuit and set the bias..
We'll see..
I'm gonna take my two cameras.. I have a 720 p movie camera that I'd like to try out..
If the photo session turns out I'll post it over on YouTube..
He's gonna bring his stage toys and guitar and give us a Twin/Guitar demo..
I hope..
As much as I know, this amp has come into these parts VIA Florida..
and it's in perfect appearance..

Over the Christmas Holiday Bob has acquired a 1964
?, CF Martin 12-String Guitar.. I'm not sure of the Model # , yet.. As Bob is the second owner, the original owner bought this guitar in St. John New Brunswick and may have been distributed from Pet's Music Supply in Montreal, Quebec, shortly before then.. I'd like to get some photos of this guitar before he takes it into his Guitar Man's Bench for Neck Re-set and inspection.. The Shop Bob Uses for this type of work is This Shop..
This place and Tom has been around for as long as have been around music..
He's one of the Top Guys in-and-around, these parts..
It sure is nice, at times to get a new instrument, amp, or whatever to use on the stage..
It seems to refresh your musical mental approach to your Music..
I'm still waiting for the Ampeg Bass Amp's Parts order..
No sign of it yet..
Maybe, today.. It's coming in from Buffalo New York..
